Hi I would love to learn how to add on the tails. I’m making this for my aunt who is a huge car fan. Thanks so much

I want to add my thank you for all your video work. You ARE a great teacher. I am a beginner and picked this right up. I am using four colors, three different shades of pink/red and it looks beautiful!. I chained 200 and am using a F/5 size hook to give me a large lap blanket. I am thrilled with how it is coming along. I am thinking of using a shell boarder done in black to make the colors pop. Thank you again!

@DollyWilde I am glad you like it.

  5. DollyWilde:

That Abstract Crochet Cat pattern is just shut the f*** up CUTE. I can’t even stand it. OH MY GOD!

  6. tjw1963:

@AdvantageousAngie You can use two colors. The only way to learn is to ask questions. No question is a dumb question.

  7. AdvantageousAngie:

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but can you use only two colors for this pattern?

  8. controlthishere:

    @tjw1963 youre really welcome 😀

  9. tjw1963:

@controlthishere I wish you much continued success with crochet. I did send you a tutorial for sewing in the tails. I appreciate your kinds words, thank you.

  10. tjw1963:

@controlthishere I do have a tutorial for sewing in yarn tails. I will send it to you.

  11. controlthishere:

Thank you so much for this! I am new to crocheting, and ive been really successful in this pattern already! You are a great teacher. At the moment Ive just tested this pattern with the length you used in the tutorial, but maybe when I am done I will make a blanket in this size. I guess Ill just turn this one in to a scarf.
Is there a tutorial about how to get rid of those pesky end bits of yarn after you change colours? Thanks!

  13. Urvasi163:

Thank you for the prompt reply. Can you suggest any patterns? Have you posted any videos for adult cardigans that I can follow?

  14. tjw1963:

@Urvasi163 You can take an existing cardigan pattern and adapt this stitch to the cardigan.

  15. Urvasi163:

Hi. I really like this pattern. How can I use it to make a cardigan? please help!

  16. searlsr07:

@tjw1963 Well, I’m using a size G hook, so I just kinda chained some & wraped it around my neck to measure. haha. It’s turning out great so far.

  17. tjw1963:

    @searlsr07 I am estimating a chain of 30.

  18. searlsr07:

I would like to make a scarf using the pattern. How many chains do you think I should start with?

  19. cousinbeanie:

This is an easy pattern to follow I am making it now and it is looking good!!

  20. ellu61:

  21. clipmom:

I thought this video was great!! I am making this blanket for my friend who is leaving and I showed some sneak peek pics and she loves it!! Super easy to follow thank you 🙂

  22. jifrpreston:

@missy1432004 I recently did this pattern from a book. The pattern doesn’t really call for a border if your edges are fairly even. It did offer to put 6in fringe on the beginning and ending edges.
Also to keep the continuity of the pattern, you will want to end your last color with a «Row 4» (change color, 1R drop/shell, then 1R shell only. Finish off—do not make 2nd shell only row)

  23. tjw1963:

@missy1432004 I recommend something simple since there is so much going on in other places. A single crochet edging or reverse single crochet edging will work great. Attach the yarn any place along the edge and work your stitches. When you get to the corners, you may need to work extra stitches so the corner lays flat.

  24. missy1432004:

I love this pattern but am stumped on what border to use on this, AND how to start it……

  25. tjw1963:

@k1992cp I appreciate your feedback, thank you! I am working hard on including every detail.
